Congregation Kol Am Worship
Prayer can be seen in many forms:
personal appeal to God, camaraderie with other voices, individual
acceptance of involvement in a quest for meaning, search for spirituality
as well as a separation from the “outside”. These are not only
not mutually exclusive; they are not the only possibilities.
Each person has the right to find meaning in the traditional words as well as the contemporary interpretations. T’filat Kol Am, the Siddur/Prayer Book written expressly for Congregation Kol Am, recognizes all these potentials. Although the Hebrew is universal, the English speaks to our community. It is through prayer and personal history that we consider a moment with the Divine.
